The weather was perfect for Altitude Fitness’ annual triathlon 2025. All the participants had a fantastic time running, swimming, and riding bicycles. Thank you to all the sponsors and volunteers for making this event happen.
Spring 2025
We spent the winter collecting and carefully repairing pre-owned bikes from friends and the families at St. Mark in Lone Tree, Colorado.
Spring is here and we are looking forward to giving the bikes to kids learning to ride, to have and enjoy this summer.
Our first event will be the Triathlon at Altitude Fitness in Westcliffe, Colorado.
Labor Day Giveaway
On Labor Day weekend, we gave away about 45 bicycles to local community children in Westcliffe CO. Each seemed very more excited than the last to be receiving their very own bike. Happy Labor Day!

Altitude Fitness and Custer County School Triathlon
Custer County School and Altitude Fitness held an awesome triathlon event, exciting from start to finish. ABC was able to donate bicycles for the event, along with letting the competitors keep their bikes after the event. How cool is that?
Eagle Scout Service Project - Paul, Troop 114
Us at ABC were given the opportunity to work with a Life Scout Paul from Troop 114 for an Eagle Scout Service Project. He helped collect and repair several bicycles, all of which were/will be used in giveaway events throughout the year. Thanks Paul!
We are currently organizing a Christmas time giveaway.
Thanks to all the people from St. Mark's in October for making our bike drive so successful!.
We are currently getting prepared for a Christmas giveaway event in Westcliffe and surrounding areas.
Oct. 21-22 2023 Second Annual Bike Drive
On Oct. 21-22, we will be holding our Second Annual Bike Drive at St. Mark Catholic Church (9905 Foothills Canyon Blvd, Highlands Ranch, CO 80129) and would appreciate your sharing this information with your community.
People can bring bikes to St. Mark in any condition, and we will fix them, then offer free bikes to children in Southern Colorado who cannot afford them. We also serve veterans and families, so bikes for any age are welcome. I will be towing a 16-foot trailer, so please don’t hesitate to contribute your old bicycles.
May 27 bike event
Thanks to all who participated in the spring event, we gave away bikes through the Custer County school district in the west parking lot after the 2023 senior graduation ceremony.
Thank you
From our first bike drive in October, we received 67 bicycles and a few components. We would like to thank the patrons at St. Mark’s Catholic Church for hosting the drive from their facility. From those collected, 52 bikes were serviced and are ready to be given out through the programs while 6 were set aside for parts to repair other bikes. 9 of the bikes were sold off to pay for the fuel and truck for relocation to our shop in Southern Colorado. We would also like to thank the generosity of Hope Cycles, who added some bikes to the truckload. Finally, thanks to everyone who has helped us start this mission, happy blessed holidays to all.
Happy Thanksgiving!
We are still working on bikes for our winter event. In the meantime, donations are still graciously accepted and appreciated. We still have helmets and lights to purchase. We hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and we’ll be back in next week for another check-in.
Checking In
Greetings, we have an event underway. Wrenches are turning, we still need more helmets and lights to fill the request. Any donations would be a blessing at this time. Thank you for your continuous support in our endeavors.
